How it works
Climbing gear maintenance without the homework.
Fifteen minutes in town, twice. Everything between those two handshakes is handled at our shop.
Request a drop-off
Send the request form. It takes under a minute. Tell us what you’re bringing and the day that suits you, and we’ll reply within a day with the times we have open and a drop-off spot in Hailey or Ketchum. One request covers the whole kit, whether it’s a single rope or a full rack. If you’re not sure what your gear needs, ask anyway. The twenty-five dollar Kit Inspection is built for exactly that.
Meet in Hailey or Ketchum
In-person drop-off and pickup in Hailey or Ketchum is how everything moves at launch. It keeps your gear under our care from handoff to return. We confirm the exact meeting spot when you book. Tell us what the gear has been through. It all goes on the record.
Serviced at our shop
Clean + Inspect + Lubricate, serviced at our shop to manufacturer guidelines: Beal rope cleaner for ropes, each manufacturer’s specified lubricant for cams, no shortcuts. Standard turnaround is 48–72 hours. Bigger kits and resole round-trips get a timeline at drop-off.
Pick up, on the record
You get your gear back with a written service record: every item listed, rated Good, Monitor, or Retire, with notes and the standards referenced. Payment happens at pickup, after you’ve seen the work, not before.
The valley calendar
Time your gear care to the season.
Spring
Rock-season refresh
Before the first pitch of spring: a whole-kit refresh and inspection so the season starts on clean, documented gear.
Autumn
Storage prep
End of rock season. Wash the rope, clean and lube the cams, deep-clean the harness, so nothing spends the winter marinating in chalk, dirt, and aluminum dust.
Winter
Gym-gear season
Shoes, chalk bags, and harnesses take the winter beating. It’s also the smart window for resole drop-offs. The round-trip is done before the rock dries out.
